Thanks this is exactly what I was looking for. I have a client who requested a proposal, and I was thinking 'uh-oh'.. lol. Does anyone have any decent templates or examples that they know of for ideas? Thanks!

I've noticed this too Barry and many people's approach to SM and Twitter is at very worst alienating potential customers.

That's why I firmly believe that social media strategy must be written around the customer and not the platform.

Thoughts should be on, who is my customer? where platform are they on? what value will I bring if I go there? How do I engage with them? How will this tweet benefit our relationship?

Barry,

It's Puneet Sachdev. I manage Learning & Development for VisitScotland. Without going into too much of detail I am looking to faciliate the upskilling of relevant staff members on social media by way of a quiz competition rather than a classroom course. Will you be interested in meeting about this?

Cheers

Barry - agreed. Forcing you to spam your accounts is terrible practice, I remember having to do it for to access a Hootsuite upgrade a while back. Didn't like it then, don't like it now.

I never went past splashing. I developed a strange fear of the water which I still have today. I think it's because I could never get far so I'd just be in the middle of the deep end scared out of my life.

For a parent, a kid really really REALLY going for swimming can mean very early trips to swimming lessons and the lingering smell of chlorine BUT it is really worth it if you see your kid getting better week to week.

A lovely post :-)
